When you first sign up to iCompleat, you land straight inside your very own Test company.
Your Test company is your training ground for getting comfortable using iCompleat. Unlike a live company, your Test company doesn't connect to your finance system; instead, we've populated it with some test data to simulate a fully integrated live company. This means you can play around without having to worry about affecting your financial data.
Where's my test data?
Most of your test data can be found in Configuration > Reference data. We've populated your reference data with suppliers, delivery sites, currency codes, & other useful codes so that you can practice coding transactions.
What can I do in my Test company?
You can do everything in your Test company that you can do in a live iCompleat company, except post invoices to a finance system or submit an order to a real supplier. Your Test company is a great way to get a feel for iCompleat without worrying that you're going to press the wrong button!
When you're ready to start using iCompleat to process real orders & invoices, there are just a few steps you need to take to get a live company up & running. Even when you've set up a live company, your Test company will always be there for you to use when you need it. It's also a handy place to train other people in your team to use iCompleat.
Our Getting started guide takes you through the simple steps behind creating a live company, connecting it to your finance system, adding some users, & setting up workflows & layouts. By the time you've followed all the steps in the guide, you'll be ready to start placing orders & processing invoices in iCompleat.
