Access real-time information about your iCompleat connection status
The Connection area in Company displays real-time information about iCompleat's connection to your accounting software, as well as some configuration options for managing your connection.
To access it, go the the iCompleat homepage and click Configuration > Company. Then, go to Connection in the left-hand menu.
Here's the information you can see in the Connection area. The settings outlined in orange are specific to Sage Intacct.
Here's a break-down of the information available to you in Connection, including additional configuration settings for customers connected to Sage Intacct.
Connector | This is the current connector that iCompleat is using to connect to your accounting software. If you're connected to cloud-based accounting software, you'll see the version number of the software. |
Cache schedule |
The cache schedule is when iCompleat is set to automatically refresh any information it extracts from your accounting software, such as account codes and supplier information. This keeps iCompleat up to date with any recent changes made in your accounting software. The cache schedule is set to cache once a day at midnight by default. It's best that the cache schedule takes place outside business hours. You can adjust the schedule by clicking Change. |
Last cache |
This is the last time iCompleat updated the information it extracts from your accounting software with any recent changes. If you've recently updated information in your accounting software, and you'd like it to be immediately available in iCompleat rather than waiting for the next scheduled cache, click Sync Now to cache. |
Last cache attempt |
If iCompleat has tried to cache with your accounting software - either according to its regular caching schedule, or because you've clicked Sync Now - and caching has failed, iCompleat records the date and time this has happened. The last cache attempt is the last time this happened. |
Alert email address | If you'd like to be notified by email if iCompleat can't cache at its scheduled time, click Change to add an email address. |
Disconnect |
In the unlikely event that you need to disconnect from your finance system, you can click Disconnect here. However, we strongly recommend that you contact our support team at support@icompleat.com before doing so. They can guide you through the steps of reconnecting again if necessary, or connecting to different accounting software. |
Installation |
If you're using an on-premise connector like Sage 50 or Sage 200, you'll see details of the installation here. This includes the server/desktop/laptop name where the connector is stalled, as well as its MAC address, Internal IP and External IP. You may need to provide this information to our Support team at support@icompleat.com if you ever need to troubleshoot any connectivity issues. |
Custom fields (Sage Intacct only) |
Click Configure to edit/add custom fields to be used when posting to Sage Intacct. |
Posting (Sage Intacct only) |
Select whether you'd like fully approved invoices to be posted to Sage Intacct as Drafts or Submitted invoices. |
