Move an unwanted order to your Deleted tray
You may need to delete an order for a number of reasons, like the supplier has discontinued an item, the order contains an error, or you've simply changed your mind about placing the order.
Whatever the reason, it's easy to delete an order that you no longer need. All deleted orders go to your Deleted tray, including orders that you have approved that another user has then deleted.
Follow these steps to delete an approved order.
You can only delete an approved order that hasn't been matched to an invoice or receipted.
- On the homepage, click Orders.
- Go to the Approved tray, and click the approved order you want to delete.
- The order summary appears.
In the bottom-right, go to Actions, and click Delete. If you can't see the Delete option, skip to here.
-
Enter your reason for deleting the order, and click Delete.
- The order is now in your Deleted tray, and the order's Approval Timeline shows a record of you deleting it.
Why can't I delete an order?
You can only delete an un-receipted, unmatched order.
If you go to the Actions menu in an order that has been receipted or partially receipted, or has been matched to an invoice, the Delete option is not available.
To delete an order that has been matched to an invoice, you need to undo the match first, and then delete it.

It doesn't show how to delete a partially receipted purchase order.
Hi Rachael,
Thank you for your comment. I understand you've spoken to our support team and I'm glad they've been able to help you with this issue.
Partially receipted orders unfortunately can't be deleted. I've now updated this article to make this clear.
Kind regards,
Cat
