Exchange rates update when iCompleat syncs with your finance system. Occasionally, an invoice may fail to post to your finance system if the exchange rates haven't been updated.
In this case, an error message like the one below appears when you select the invoice from the Posting Failures tray:
In the example below, an invoice has been sent to iCompleat in Euros, but the exchange rate hasn't yet been updated.
In your finance system, do the following:
- Check that there is an exchange rate set up. If the exchange rate is set up but is incorrect, update it.
- Ensure that the supplier is set up with the correct currency. If the exchange rate is incorrect, update it.
In iCompleat, click 'Configuration'.
Click 'Company Management'.
Find 'Connection' and click 'Sync Now'.
This sync pulls the updated exchange rate from the finance system into iCompleat.
Once the sync is complete, click the 'iCompleat' logo.
Click 'Manage Invoices'.
Select the 'Posting Failures' tray.
Select the invoice.
Click 'Return with comment' to send the invoice back to the 'Unprocessed' tray.
Resend the invoice for approval and select the correct approval workflow. Once approved, the invoice posts to the finance system correctly.
