A quicker and easier way to edit invoice lines

What is Improved Lines?

As part of a wider piece of work to make AP Automation as slick as possible, we’ve introduced a preview of a new feature to allow users to edit invoice summary lines directly from the summary page, instead of editing them line by line.

You can now turn on a preview of the new “Improved Lines” feature on the invoice summary page.

Here’s a quick video demonstrating how to turn on and use this powerful feature:

What is its purpose?

Our users wanted to be able to edit multiple line items of an invoice but clicking into each line and editing one by one was creating unnecessary clicks and wasting time. This feature will allow users to edit line items of an invoice simply by clicking into the preview table.

What users require this?

Improved Lines is most useful for Accounts Payable and Finance staff, but will also save time for anyone who’s role is based around invoice processing.

How do I access it?

When viewing an invoice, click into the Actions menu

Select “Improved Lines (Preview)”

You now have Improved Lines and can edit line items from the preview page!

To revert back to the original view, click into the Actions menu

Select “Legacy Lines”

You can no longer edit line items.
